Montgomery Monarch History
The Montgomery Monarchs Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. was started in 1999. Becky Mitchell, having been a previous member of the Yellow Rose Chapter, relocated to the Montgomery area and was the key person in the creation of our Chapter. In April 2001, the Montgomery Monarch Chapter was formally chartered by NCL, Inc. during the National Convention. Since then, our Chapter has grown to over 200 mothers and daughters. We enjoy small-town life amid bluebonnet-covered prairies and the pine-forested shores of Lake Conroe not far from the urban delights of Houston. We are proud to support a variety of area organizations, including hospitals, libraries, and senior centers.
